The Blouse Workshop: Two-Piece Dressing in the Summer
The DC Style Factory team had the pleasure last month to host a workshop at Betsy Fisher on Connecticut Ave. in Washington, DC. Our style topic: The Blouse. How do you achieve a polished look when it’s too hot to layer with a blazer in the sweltering DC heat?
Working with Betsy and her team is one of the highlights of being a personal stylist here in the DC area, and I always jump at the chance to partner with her on style events.
We featured models wearing our picks for stand-alone blouses that don’t need a cardigan or blazer to finish your look. We talked about when to tuck and not to tuck, fabrics and silhouettes to look for when selecting a statement blouse, and more.
One of my favorite looks of the night was the Magaschoni take on the classic white shirt — this time a pleated, wrap top with a rope belt.
A special thank you to Betsy for hosting us and happy summer to everyone!
