It’s been a good long while since we’ve had an event — it was high time! And what better way to celebrate summer than with cool drinks, Thai eats, and tips on makeup and style?
We had an amazing turnout of women: clients, bloggers, old friends, new friends and family. The vibe of the room was all love. It is never lost to me how fortunate I am to be able to own and operate a successful business doing something I am utterly passionate about.
A special thank you to Sak of DC Noodles for providing the perfect venue, scrumptious food, and even a signature cocktail for the evening. When we have clients who want makeup and hair advice, we send them over to our good friends at Denise Sharpe Hair & Beauty and we were so thrilled her team could join us for the beauty portion of the event with demos and practical tips on how to survive the summer heat with your face intact! We had some of DC’s most stylish ladies on hand too. Thank you to Tammy of A Loyal Love, Alison of DC Celine, Maria Jose of A Very Busy Mama, and Ashley of Ashley in DC for modeling some of our favorite warm-weather trends (Drape tops! D’orsay flats! Printed slouchy pants! Crop tops! Midis skirts!). Guests also were invited to peruse the latest in summer jewelry with Stella & Dot for showcasing beautiful totes, beach bags, jewelry, etc. for summer.
And finally, a special thank you to my hard-working assistant, N’jeri for coordinating the event, and my husband for being not only the most handsome guy in the room, but actually, the ONLY guy in the room
